Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Musician One collects, why, and what your rights are. Musician One is a gig-management app for musicians, run by Gareth Gwyn, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). For anything privacy-related, email support@musicianone.app.

Who is responsible for your data

Gareth Gwyn (trading as Musician One) is the data controller for the information you put into the app. If you use the app to store details about other people (for example your contacts or clients), you are responsible for having a fair reason to hold their details, and we process that information on your behalf.

What we collect

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.

Why we use it

Our legal bases (UK GDPR) are: performing our contract with you (running the app you signed up for), your consent (for example connecting Google Calendar), and our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and working).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the app. They only process your data to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy terms:

StripeProcesses Premium subscription payments
GoogleTwo-way calendar sync, only if you connect it
ResendSends the app's emails (sign-in links, invoices, reminders)
NeonHosts the database your data is stored in (London, UK/EU)
RailwayHosts and runs the app (EU region)
CloudflareDNS, security, and storage for uploaded files

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on servers in the UK and EU. Some of our providers (such as Stripe and Google) are global companies and may process limited data outside the UK/EU under safeguards approved for international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data from the live app. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before those are overwritten, and we may keep limited records where the law requires (for example basic payment records). You can export your gigs and invoices as CSV or PDF at any time to keep your own copies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to:

To exercise any of these, email support@musicianone.app. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because the login cookie is strictly necessary to run the app, no consent banner is required for it.

Children

Musician One is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
