Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Gareth Gwyn, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as Musician One ("we", "us", "our"). They cover your use of the Musician One app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Musician One is

Musician One is a tool that helps gigging musicians keep on top of their gigs, calendar, invoices, expenses, contacts and related admin. It is a helper, not a replacement for professional advice. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and you remain responsible for your own tax and legal obligations.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Musician One.
• You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in is by a link sent to your email.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the accuracy of the information you enter.

3. Your content

Everything you put into the app (your gigs, invoices, contacts, documents and so on) stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can provide the app to you. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to store any information about other people, and for using the app lawfully. You can export your data or delete your account at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• break the law, or use the app to send spam or unlawful, abusive or misleading messages;
• upload malware, attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the app or other users' data;
• copy, resell, reverse-engineer or scrape the app except where the law expressly allows it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. Free and Premium

Core gig tracking, invoicing, expense tracking and data export are free. Premium unlocks extra features and is billed as a subscription through Stripe.

• Premium is £14.99 per month (or the annual price shown at checkout), charged in advance and renewing automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel any time from the app. Cancelling stops future charges; your Premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Except where the law gives you a refund right, payments already made are non-refundable. If something is charged in error, contact us and we will put it right.
• We may change Premium pricing or features. If we change the price of your existing subscription, we will give you reasonable notice first, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

6. Availability

Musician One is a young app offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work hard to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features over time.

7. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, and to the fullest extent allowed by law:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost bookings, lost income or lost data arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app;
• the app is a tool to help you organise your work, and you remain responsible for your own gigs, invoices, bookings and records. Always keep your own backups of anything important (you can export your data at any time);
• our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Third-party services

The app connects to services such as Google Calendar, Stripe and mapping providers. Your use of those is also subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Musician One and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering the service. On closure your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your own home nation.
